Are you a part of Carolinas Medical Center? 
Pathology Associates Services is a private pathology laboratory owned and directed by Carolinas Pathology Group.  Twenty physicians and three doctoral scientists provide pathology services and consultations to private physician groups, medical facilities and other pathologists throughout the nation.

When will my physician have the results of my pathology test?
For routine and biopsy specimens, your physician may expect a result within 24 hours of receipt in our laboratory.  The turnaround time may be longer in more complex cases requiring additional studies.  Results for consultation cases are generally available in three days unless further testing is required to complete the case.

May I have a copy of pathology report?
Reports are released only to the physician submitting the specimen.  Please contact your physician for your results.

Why am I getting a bill from Pathology Associates Services when I have never been there?
Your specimen has been referred to the pathology physicians in our group for evaluation.  Our pathologist prepares a report for your physician.  We are happy to bill you or your insurance for these services.
